This month we began our study group as we always do with a 5 minute meditation. This really is fundamental to an acupuncture and moxa practice because it allows us to calm our field and meet and accurately reflect our patients image back to them. Thus allowing them to see their mental, physical, and spiritual status and heal.
We then moved on to our moxa tissue practice. We unfortunately didn't have anyone test out of our 10 half grain moxa cones in one minute test but everyone is really close. It was exciting to see how far these practitioners have come in their moxa practice.
Following this we learned Iyashi No Michi style chest and hara diagnosis. We compared our findings to the tongue and pulse and also proceeded in trying to change the hara via moxa and then needling. Thank you to all of our participants how graciously became our model patients. Your efforts really help all of us learn!
Next month we will be continuing on our hara diagnosis and learning more specific Japanese acupuncture hara findings. We will also continue our work on hand sensitivity, moxa, and needling technique.
Thanks to everyone who came out! With our combined efforts we will slowly etch out a monthly study group that will truly support their entire acupuncture community in Colorado!
